Sagebrush Rangelands Help Maintain Water Availability
The Sage Grouse Initiative released the most recent Science to Solutions report that I wrote for them today. It’s an incredibly important study on how sagebrush rangelands are able to keep more moisture in the ecosystem because snow drifting in sagebrush country hold water longer in the season than areas with conifer encroachment. In the arid West, this is one of the most important ecosystem services! Check out the full story on the SGI website.
